which has the finest reserves in the world, in the Badakhshan Mountains.
Lapis, mined for 6000 years, is mentioned in the Bible, and found on tombs of the pharaohs.
The deep blue color, flecked with gold, made it a favorite stone of royalty. We choose lapis from
Afghanistan with a deep rich blue color.
