At Cred, we create jewelry with a conscience. Our desire for beauty is equalled by our demand for ethics.
Please see this YouTube video on where the green gold comes from.

As caring people, we seek to minimise our negative impact over the environment. We’re working to make sure that the mining of the metal and gems for our beautiful jewelry respects strict social and environmental principles. Restoring and reforesting mined land. Avoiding use of toxic chemicals that pollute rivers. Protecting marine life and eco-systems.
Our concern for the environment is matched by our emphasis on human rights. We aim to improve the social standards of workers in the mining industry. We work to end unsafe practices such as exposure to chemicals that can cause brain damage. We reject child labour and the loss of indigenous people’s land rights.
Naturally we support the Kimberley process, the certification system guaranteeing diamonds are conflict-free. Unfortunately, the Kimberley process doesn’t certify environmental and social standards. So we are working on that as well.

Our ethical principles are as important to us as our determination to design and make beautiful, contemporary jewelry. You need never compromise on design or quality. Just as organic silk feels smooth, our ethical jewelry looks wonderful.
So it should. Our fair trade wedding rings are designed by our master jeweller. Our contemporary platinum, gold and silver engagement rings are elegantly and meticulously crafted. Our custom jewelry matches the personal style – from quiet to quirky – of the wearer.
Although we live by a rigid set of standards, we never let our ethics get in the way of the aesthetics. We have style as well as scruples. We love jewelry. We love beauty.
Although we’re ambitious for 'Cred Jewellery: the business', our real concern is 'Cred Jewellery: the ethos'. We’re looking forward to the day when it is culturally unacceptable to buy a piece of jewelry that is not independently certified as socially and environmentally responsible.
Until then, we’ll carry on our campaign. We’ll continue to source precious metal that meets the strict standards of the Association for Responsible Mining (ARM). Where we cannot find materials that are independently certified we pledge to work to plug this gap in the market.
And we’ll continue to pass a proportion of our profits to the Cred Foundation, our sister organisation. The charitable foundation pursues justice for the poor and concern for the environment by directly funding international humanitarian projects.
In parallel with these aims, we’ll pursue our other passion. The creation of beautiful, stylish, exciting, elegant jewelry.
This is our journey, a journey towards a purity and perfection that reflects the beauty of our world in the jewelry that we wear. We trust you will join us on the journey.
